OweMotion Provider Alerts (SMS)

This page describes the OweMotion Provider Alerts text message program: who receives messages, what they say, how someone opts in, and how to stop. It is public and does not require signing in.

1. What is OweMotion?

OweMotion (owemotion.com) connects local customers with local service providers (businesses such as flooring, carpet cleaning, and other home-service contractors). Providers create a free provider account to appear in the local directory and receive customer request matches.

2. Who receives text messages

Only service providers who have explicitly and affirmatively opted in through their OweMotion provider dashboard, and who have verified ownership of the phone number they provided. Customers, the general public, and providers who have not opted in never receive OweMotion Provider Alerts messages.

3. OweMotion Provider Alerts (the SMS campaign)

A single messaging program: optional operational notifications sent to opted-in and verified OweMotion service providers when a customer request matches their services and service area. The same campaign serves providers across every OweMotion community and network — it is not scoped to one provider, one network, or one service category. Every message below is transactional (non-marketing). Two real variants exist, depending on how the opportunity reached the provider:

Matched opportunity alert

OweMotion: New local request for [service] in [town]. Reply 1 if interested or 2 to pass. Details: https://owemotion.com/provider-opportunity#access=[secure-token]. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Direct customer request alert

OweMotion: New matched customer request. View and respond securely: https://owemotion.com/dashboard/provider/leads/[requestId]. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

These are the two Provider Alerts message variants OweMotion uses for this messaging program. Both are generated from the same production code that sends them — bracketed values (like [requestId], [service], [town]) are replaced with real values specific to that request at send time. No customer name, phone number, email, or private request details are ever included. Messages never contain marketing, promotions, or third-party advertising. Phone-verification messages are handled separately through Twilio Verify and are not part of this Provider Alerts messaging program — see §4 below.

4. Phone verification (separate from the alert campaign)

Before a provider can receive Provider Alerts, OweMotion must confirm the provider actually controls the phone number entered. This is a distinct, one-time verification step — handled through a dedicated phone-verification service, not through the Provider Alerts campaign above — used only to prove handset ownership during opt-in:

Phone verification code

Your OweMotion verification code is [123456]. It expires in 10 minutes. Never share this code.

This message is shown here only as evidence of the opt-in process described in §5 below. Phone-verification messages are handled separately through Twilio Verify and are not part of the OweMotion Provider Alerts A2P campaign. A provider is never enrolled in or removed from Provider Alerts by verifying a phone number alone; verification and SMS-alert consent are two independent steps, and both are required before any Provider Alerts message is sent.

5. How opt-in works

  1. A provider creates a free OweMotion provider account. SMS is not part of account creation and is never enabled by creating an account, creating a provider card, or agreeing to email communications.
  2. After signing in, the provider may separately visit their dashboard’s “Request alerts” section and enter a mobile number.
  3. The provider must actively check a checkbox that is unchecked by default — see §7 below for the exact on-screen text.
  4. The provider clicks “Save alert preference.”
  5. OweMotion verifies control of that number through the separate phone-verification step described in §4 above. Provider Alerts messages are not sent until both SMS consent and successful handset verification exist.
  6. The provider can turn the preference off at any time from the same dashboard section, or by replying STOP to any message.

6. Key disclosures

  • SMS alerts are optional and are not required to join, activate, or use OweMotion.
  • Message frequency varies based on customer request activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
  • Reply HELP for help, or contact support@owemotion.com.
  • Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent data are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes — see our Privacy Policy for details.

7. What the opt-in screen looks like

The actual opt-in control lives inside a provider’s authenticated dashboard (Provider Card → Request alerts), so it cannot be viewed here without signing in. The block below reproduces that screen’s real field labels, checkbox default state, and disclosure text exactly as they appear in production — no wording has been changed or shortened for this page.

Request alerts

Text alert preference is off.

By enabling text alerts, you agree to receive automated OweMotion text messages about new customer requests sent to your provider account, at the number entered below. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. These messages are operational only — not marketing.

After saving a number, a separate “Phone verification” card (also unchecked/ unverified by default) appears below it:

Phone verification

Prove you control this exact number before we’ll text it.

Not verified

Changing your number above resets verification.

8. Provider signup and dashboard

Provider account creation begins at OweMotion’s provider signup flow at owemotion.com/provider-signup (the same signup flow used by providers across every OweMotion community and network — this program is not tied to any single one). The SMS opt-in described above is reached afterward, from the signed-in provider dashboard at /dashboard/provider/card (login required — not a public route).
